Yay blogs! They make the Internet a cozier place. They also make work more fun, especially if you’re a librarian. There are so many rad library science, information tech, and literary blogs to help librarians keep up with what's happening at other libraries and the field at large. And blogs are so much more approachable, current, and interactive ways than dry professional journals or textbooks.
Two broad categories of blogs that I've come to find particularly fun and relevant as a YA librarian are teen reading blogs and craft blogs.
Recent favs in the former category: Reviewer X and Young Adult Romance Reviews (from the rapidly typing fingers of teens themselves)
Recent craft blog faves: Folding Trees (paper craft tutorials) and Dude Craft. Craft blogs are so cool and inspirational. They can make even the most craft-averse librarian (such as moi) want to do more craft programs.
